Martin Enserink is European news editor for Science magazine. He edits news and feature stories by Science staff and freelance writers around the continent. His own writing, which has received several awards, focuses on infectious diseases, global health, and science policy. Martin has worked in Washington DC and Paris and is currently based in Amsterdam. He has mentored journalists in four African countries in a program run by the World Federation of Science Journalists.
