Kai Kupferschmidt is a freelance science writer based in Berlin. He studied molecular biomedicine and trained as a journalist. Kai is a contributing correspondent for the journal “Science” and his work has appeared in “Süddeutsche Zeitung”, “NZZ am Sonntag” and other major German-language media. He has won several prizes for his writing about infectious diseases and has written a book on the topic.
