Annick Antierens
Annick Antierens graduated as a medical doctor specialized in anaesthesia, intensive care and emergency medicine from the Catholic University of Leuven-Belgium. She also obtained her license in public health at the University of Nancy- France. Her first humanitarian missions were as anaesthesiologist in Bosnia for Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) and in Rwanda for the Belgian Red Cross. From 1999 to 2009 she occupies different positions for different MSF sections; field coordinator in Kenya, general coordinator in Mauretania, medical coordinator in Sudan and Ethiopia, hospital director of the MSF run hospital for war wounded in Jordan. Between missions, she is working in different French and Belgian hospitals as anaesthesiologist and emergency doctor. From 2010 to mid-2014 she is appointed deputy medical director at the MSF Geneva. Between September2014 and June 2016 she is the manager of the Ebola investigational Platform at MSF. And since July 2016 she becomes the medical strategic advisor in MSF Brussels.
