When science is under pressure, some scientists become activists, driven by a need to see the truth uncovered, told and used to benefit society. Some manage to combine a life in science with a life of political action. Imagine being able to spend a day every month shadowing someone in this position, watching how they combine science and advocacy, how they juggle people and power. This is what the Struggle With Politics project is offering – a chance to do just this, and then report on it in your chosen style. The aim is to create at least three parts to the series in a mix of digital and traditional media – which you choose is up to you. Sounds like fun? Then get your proposal in now. Deadline for proposals is 15 May 2018.
