Long Term Project: Struggle With Politics
Six science journalists from six nations
follow six politically active scientists
Science policy is one of the most under-reported areas in science journalism. “Struggle With Politics” hopes to change that by pairing journalists with politically active scientists. From June 2018 through May 2019, six journalists from six nations follow six scientists who are on a political journey, reporting on the successes and failures of each scientist-activist as they work to educate lawmakers and promote science in political discourse.
The participating journalists will tell their story in three parts. The first part will be published on www.wcsj2019.eu in the third quarter of 2018.
The project takes place within the framework of the World Conference of Science Journalists 2019. “Struggle With Politics” is supported by the Fondation H. Dudley Wright, Geneva, Switzerland.
